Mardi Gras Gumbo benefits Historical Society

Mardi Gras festivities usually benefited the Marengo County Historical Society every year, but with COVID-19 shutting down parties, the MCHS is offering a new way to support its efforts.

Beginning today and running through Feb. 16, The Mustard Seed is selling Lyon Hall Mardi Gras To Go! gumbo and hush puppies. A portion of each $25 sale benefits the MCHS.

Each quart of gumbo also has six andouille hush puppies. The gumbo has chicken, sausage and shrinp.

Orders can be made in person at The Mustard See, 101 W. Washington St., or by calling 334-289-2878.
