Demopolis FCCLA partners with Naheola to make lip sync success

Emily Hall and Eddie Coats took first place in Thursday’s FCCLA Lip Synch Battle.

Naheola Credit Union was excited to be part of FCCLA’s first Lip Sync Battle at Demopolis High School on Thursday evening. Student performances were judged on lip sync ability, creativity, stage presence, and choreography. According to the organization’s advisor, Mrs. Turberville,

FCCLA stands for Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America and is a career and technical organizations for students who have taken or are currently enrolled in a Family and Consumer Science Course. FCCLA’s goal is to promote leadership by emphasizing the importance of family bonds, careers, and participation in the community.  Beyond that, our personal goal is to promote kindness, acceptance, and compassion for others, and to be a place where students can belong.

Naheola awarded gift cards to the top three performances. Winners of last night’s performances included:

  • 1st Place-Emily Hall and Eddie Coats performed Finesse by Bruno Mars featuring Cardi B
  • 2nd Place-Breanna Braxton, Tamia Neal, Kavalyn Bryant, and Morrnesha Turner performed Jumpin Jumpin by Destiny’s Child
  • 3rd Place-A2x (Aireka Riggs and Ashleigh Ivory) performed Perm by Bruno Mars
