UWA football adds Zeigler

LIVINGSTON – Kortlin Zeigler, a tight end from Jemison, Ala., has signed to play football at the University of West Alabama. Zeigler’s signature increases the number of signees for Coach Brett Gilliland’s first recruiting class to 22.

Zeigler, 6-2 and 230-pounds, played both tight end and defensive end at Jemison High School. As a senior he had 17 receptions for 290 yards and led the team in quarterback sacks with three. He comes from the same high school that produced current UWA single-game rushing record holder Javae Swindle.

Including three mid-year signees, Gilliland has now signed 25 players since coming on board in December.
