TRAC bringing RamCorps back to Demopolis

RamCorps makes a return visit to Demopolis Thursday, March 10, bringing its unique explosion of music and theater.

The 40-member brass and percussion ensemble will perform at 6:30 p.m. in the Demopolis High School Auditorium, sponsored by the Two Rivers Arts Council. Admission is free to TRAC members and $10 for non-patrons.

RamCorps offers an intense choreographed Christ-centered musical experience with trumpets, mellophones, trombones, baritone horn, contras, saxophone and a drum-line in a variety of styles, said the director Kenn Hughes.

So popular is the group that is has performed from the University of Mobile to New York to France and plans to entertain audiences at Disney World, eight marching festivals, Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center this year.

RamCorps regularly takes part in international missions through Global Missions Projects, a not-for-profit organization that coordinates musical mission projects around the world. In the past it has participated in projects in Russia, Germany, Jamaica, Turks & Caicos and Cuba.
