Melvin “Pop” Tensley

Marengo County Sheriff Richard Bates described Tensley as 5 feet, 11 inches tall and 190 pounds. The convenience store is located less than a mile from Tensley’s home.

Bates said the county has used drones to look for the missing man, but the heavily forested area has hampered the search.

Authorities found his truck parked at a friend’s house late Wednesday. His cell phone was in the truck.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 334-295-4208.
