Demopolis Chief of Police Tommie Reese has been re-elected as President of the Alabama Association of Chiefs of Police for the 2016-2017 term during the association’s summer conference in Orange Beach. Reese has been a member of the association since 2009 and has served on the Executive Board since becoming a member.

“I am one again both honored and humbled to be re-elected to serve another term as the president of this association,” said Reese.

The association is comprised of more than 350 police chiefs from across the state.

“I was approached by numerous chiefs in the association asking me to consider running for the office again, and I knew there were some things I wanted to complete, so the timing was right,” said Reese.

Reese, who is well-known across the state in the law enforcement community, went on to say he is proud of the job being done by police chiefs across the state.

“All of the chiefs of police are constantly working hard to provide a safe community for their jurisdictions by working to foster a community-police relationship. I have nothing but praise for the Alabama Association of Chiefs of Police, for they are true law enforcement leaders and will do whatever it takes to get the job done.”
