West Alabama Watchman managing partner Jeremy D. Smith and his wife Blythe Smith welcomed their second child into the world Wednesday, Jan. 1 when Lakyn Blythe Smith was born at 6:26 p.m.

Lakyn weighed seven pounds and 12 ounces and measured 19 and three-quarters inches long.
