‘Mockingbird’ cast gives preview to Rotarians

“Shoot all the bluejays you want, if you can hit ’em, but remember it’s a sin to kill a mockingbird.”

Cast members from “To Kill a Mockingbird” accepted a check and certificate from Demopolis Rotary president Ashley Coplin after giving a preview of the play.

At the Wednesday meeting of the Demopolis Rotary Club, the Canebrake Players gave a sneak peek of “To Kill a Mockingbird” opening this weekend. In addition to enjoying the preview, Rotarians also presented a donation to the Canebrake Players.

“The Demopolis community is blessed with talented individuals that help make the arts possible in our area,” said Ashley Coplin, president.
