Marengo County 4-H winners announced

The 4-H Clubs in Marengo County recently completed their programs for the 2013-14 school year by awarding prizes in the Marengo County, Linden City, Demopolis City, and Marengo Academy fifth grade classrooms.

The students embarked on a journey this year entitled “Pathways to Prosperity” in which they studied six different career clusters that are found in Marengo County. These included Law and Public Safety, Agriculture, Architecture and Construction, Health Services, Finance, and Business Management. Each month activities completed during 4-H meetings were kept in a Career Journal along with other career exploration activities completed by the member. In April, these Career Journals were turned into the 4-H office and winners were selected in each classroom. From the classroom winners, a county winner was also named.
