Longhorns get 10th win, down Meadowview 7-1

LINDEN — Marengo Academy (10-3-2, 1-0) got a key region win Tuesday, dropping Meadowview Christian 7-1.

Hayden Huckabee struck out seven and allowed only two hits in the contest. Brant Lewis led the offense, going 2-for-3 at the plate with three RBIs. Kyle Friday also went 2-for-2.

The Longhorns are set to play again Friday in the Macon-East Montgomery tournament when they challenge Wilcox Academy at 11 a.m. and Fort Dale at 5 p.m.
