The Demopolis High School track team sent several representatives to the state meet last weekend. Demetrius Kemp won the silver medal in the long jump. Demopolis sent 19 athletes to the meet. Demopolis High senior Demetrius Kemp took the silver medal in the Class 5A long jump at the state championship track meet over the weekend.
Kemp finished with a distance of 22 feet, 11 inches.
