County continues district lines through 2022; completes long agenda

Marengo County commissioners Wednesday voted to continue using the same district lines for the 2022 elections. The boundaries will be modified and approved by the Commission for the 2024 elections.

Commissioner Terry Hinton was appointed the American Rescue Plan Act Program Director for the county. Hinton will become chairman of the Commission in January, succeeding Jason Windham.

In other business, the Commission:

  • Approved Gaddy Electric to provide air filter service for the Courthouse at $600 per quarter for one year.
