Broussard dominant in Sweet Water shutout of Millry

Sweet Water scored four runs in the second and two in the fourth to back up Chance Broussard’s scintillating effort in a 6-0 victory over Millry last Thursday.

Broussard faced only 25 batters over seven innings while striking out seven in the complete-game, two-hit shutout. He also helped himself at the plate, going 1-for-4 with a double and a pair of RBIs.

Jonah Smith set the table for the Bulldogs, going 2-for-4 with a double, one run driven in and two runs scored. Cole Morgan was 1-for-4 out of the two hole while Will Huckabee drove in a run and scored a run.

Braden Broussard scored a run and Hunter Mendenhall finished 2-for-2. Luke Davis scored a run and Branson Davis finished 1-for-2 with a run scored and one RBI. Wynn Thompson also finished 1-for-4.

Morgan, Smith, Braden Broussard, Luke Davis and Branson Davis each stole a base for Sweet Water.

The Bulldogs are set to play again Thursday at Choctaw County after hosting Thomasville Monday night.
