BOE makes personnel changes

At a called meeting Monday, May 24, the Demopolis City Schools Board of Education made personnel changes to prepare for the fall semester.

Terminations:

• Tammy Rainey, WES aide.
• Raven Simmons, WES aide.
• Jessica Raulston Campbell, USJ aide.
• Katie Kolar, USJ fifth grade teacher.
• Will Ayers, DMS social studies teacher.
• Chandler Warren, DMS career prep teacher.
• Elizabeth Dickerson Nichols, DHS English/language arts teacher.

Resignation: Brandi Parten, Central Office administrative assistant.

Transfers/Reassignments:

• Elizabeth Claire Bell from Pre-K auxiliary teacher to WES classroom aide.
• Tara Harris, from WES assistant lunchroom manager to manager.
• Robin Dunn, transfer from DHS to DMS as history teacher.

Conditional employment: Jennifer Jones as DHS special education teacher.

Substitutes: Sara McVay, with sub license, approved for K-5 and lunchroom only.

Miscellaneous:

• Modify return date for FMLA of Leroy Harris, DMS custodian from May 13 to May 24.
• Derrick Hester to receive a supplement as Professional Development Coordinator, System-Wide of $1,250 to complete the school year and to receive an annual supplement of $5,000 for the 2021o-2022 school year.
