Black Warrior EMC general manager, board member elected to state association board

Daryl Jones of Linden, general manager of Black Warrior EMC, and Irvin Eatman of Eutaw, Black Warrior EMC board member, have been elected to the board of directors of the Alabama Rural Electric Association.

Jones will also serve on the Safety and Compliance Committee, and Eatman will serve on the Education Committee.

Black Warrior EMC serves parts of 13 counties in west central Alabama: Bibb, Choctaw, Clarke, Dallas, Greene, Hale, Marengo, Perry, Pickens, Sumter, Tuscaloosa, Washington and Wilcox.

The Alabama Rural Electric Association is the not-for-profit, member-owned statewide trade association representing Alabama’s 22 electric distribution cooperatives, PowerSouth Energy Cooperative and the Tennessee Valley Authority.  Together, they deliver power to more than 1 million people, or a quarter of the state’s population, and they maintain more than 71,000 miles of power line.
