Black Belt Treasures awarded $10K in memory of Armstead
CAMDEN – Black Belt Treasures Cultural Arts Center recently received a $10,000 contribution by the Alabama-Tombigbee Regional Commission Board of Directors in memory of Freddie L. Armstead.
Armstead served on BBTCAC’s Board of Directors from 2005 until his death last month. He also was a dedicated Board of Directors member of the ATRC and a Marengo County Commissioner.
The contribution will be used for a project that Armstead had dedicated special interest in advancing, the BBTCAC Studio Artist Retreat – a freestanding building on BBTCAC’s Campus to be utilized by visiting artists, authors and interns.
