2-man scramble golf tourney planned by Pilot Club

Celebrate Father’s Day Weekend by taking part in the 11th annual Demopolis Pilot Club Golf Tournament.

The two-person scramble will be held Saturday, June 18, at the Ravine Golf Course, 748 Sports-Plex Drive, Demopolis. The entry fee for the 8:45 a.m. shotgun start is $80 per person. Golfers can check in between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. to have a light breakfast.

The fee includes the round of golf, mulligan and a shared golf cart, although personal carts are welcomed. Four-person teams will be paired by the Pilot Club.

Door prizes and awards will be part of the fun. An extra mulligan and cup hole can be purchased for $5 each. The first-place winning team earns $400; second, $250, and third, $150. Contests also will be held for the longest drive and closest to the pin. Last place finishers receive a basket of range balls.

Deadline to register for the tournament is Friday, June 10. For more information, call Eleanor Park at 334-289-2556 or Andrea Ward at 334-341-1176.

Proceeds from the tournament go toward the three $1,000 scholarships awarded by the Pilot Club each year.
