VFW Post 5377 to meet, present awards on March 11
VFW Post 5377 Post Surgeon Phillip Spence sends greetings to all VFW members and those who are eligible for membership in one of the oldest veterans organizations in the nation.
Spence also announced that the next meeting will be March 11th at the Post, which is located on Hwy. 43 South between Demopolis and Linden.
“We will be having an awards ceremony beginning at 5:00 P.M to honor the winners of the Post and District 6, Patriot Pen, Voice of Democracy, The Gold Medal Fire Fighter Award and the Law Enforcement J. Edgar Hoover Award Winners,” Spence said. “Refreshments will be served after the awards ceremony. Our regular meeting will begin at 6:00 P.M and we are looking forward to seeing you there.
“We still have many important decisions to make and we need your ideas and visions to be the VFW post we need to be,” he continued. “We’re looking forward to seeing you all. Don’t forget to bring a friend and come and join in the activities.”
