The program held its second clinic for children and parents Saturday morning at Fairhaven Baptist Church. More than 100 youngsters have participated in the two clinics, giving organizers hope for a successful first season.

The program is designed to build character and skill for youngsters both on and off the court. The league holds one practice and one game per week, promotes a unique sub system that ensures every young athlete plays and provides a quality game day uniform and other sport related gear. More than 4.5 million youngsters across the nation have participated in Upward Basketball over the past 18 years.

Parents who wish to register their children may do so at Fairhaven Baptist Church in Demopolis, or at First Baptist Church, Demopolis. For more information, call Fairhaven at 334-289-0712 or First Baptist at 334-289-0473.
