Tigers’ season stats leaders after two games

With two games under their belts for the year, we have some season stats totals for the Demopolis Tigers football team. Here’s a quick look at some of the Tigers stats leaders.

On the offensive side, Tyler Drake has completed 17 of 28 passes for 228 yards and three touchdowns. Those stats give him a QB Rating of 107.4 after two games. Camron Wright has six receptions for 134 yards and one touchdown. Price Smith has six catches for 66 yards and one touchdown. Peyton Stevenson has one touchdown on three catches with 23 yards. Wright also has the longest reception with a 40-yarder.

Kelvin Rowser leads the rushing category with 90 yards on 15 carries and two touchdowns. Craig Nichols has 32 carries for 77 yards and a touchdown. Lamarian Kelly has the longest run of the year with a 22-yarder.

Drake is the leader in total yards, adding 28 rushing yards to his passing yardage, for a combined total of 256. Camron Wright follows Drake with his 134 receiving yards.

Defensively, Gray Sharpe leads the team with 10 solo tackles and 4 assists. Three of those were for tackles for loss. Laquinton Wright has 11 total tackles on nine solo tackles and two assists. Harrison Carroll (nine solo and one assist) and Jim Lawler (eight solo and two assists) have 10 total tackles each. Matthew Witherspoon and Javien Blanks have nine total tackles, each with eight solo and one assist. Blanks has four tackles for loss and Witherspoon has one. Blanks leads the team with four sacks, while Sharpe and Witherspoon each have two.

The Tigers’ secondary has picked off a total of five passes in their first two games. Jay Jones leads with two interceptions while Lawler, Carroll and Stevenson have one each. Carroll returned his for a touchdown.
