Tigers baseball blanks Falcons, 10-0

The Demopolis Tigers baseball team scored eight runs in the first two innings en route to a 10-0, five inning win over the visiting Central-Tuscaloosa Falcons. The Tigers added one run in the fourth and another in the fifth to end the game in five innings.

Drew Seymore got the start on the mound and completed five innings. Seymore struck out three, gave up one walk and one hit. Seymore surrendered no runs.

Caleb Cobb, Vincent Deas and Kevin McElroy collected two hits each for the Tigers. Mac Bradley, Coleman Fuqua and Montgomery Freeman collected one hit each. Tigers with extra-base hits were Fuqua with a triple, and Bradley and Freeman with doubles. Bradley led the Tigers with 4 RBIs. McElroy totaled two RBIs with Ryan Bumgarner and Deas collecting one RBI each. Cobb, Bradley, Fuqua and McElroy each scored twice. Deas and Jacob Davis scored one run each.

The Tigers will host LeFlore High School Friday in the first round of the 2022 AHSAA baseball playoffs. Game times will be 4PM and 6PM.
