Tigers’ 2020 season stats leaders – game 3

The Tigers put 40 points on the board against the Central Falcons last week, bringing their season total to 88 points. The Tigers have allowed 50 points through three games. Following are some individual stats for the Tigers after three games.

After a 297-yard game, Tyler Drake has completed 35 of 59 passes for 525 yards and five touchdowns. Peyton Stevenson was 2-for-2 against the Falcons and has now completed 4 of 9 passes for 28 yards and one touchdown.

Kelvin Rowser has 24 carries for 127 yards and two touchdows. Craig Nichols (who did not play against Central, due to injury) has 23 carries for 77 yards with one touchdown. Stevenson has 13 carries for 68 yards and one touchdown. Hayes Atkins has 49 yards on 13 carries and two touchdowns (both against Central).

Camron Wright increased his lead in the receiving category, totaling 257 yards on 13 receptions with two touchdowns. Stevenson has five catches for 99 yards and three touchdowns. Price Smith has 10 receptions for 90 yards and one touchdown.

Drake is atop the total yards category, adding 39 rushing yards to his 525 passing yards for a total of 564 yards. Camron Wright’s 257 receiving yards comes in second. Stevenson’s 28 passing, 68 rushing and 99 receiving yards run his total to 195 total yards. Kelvin Rowser adds 36 receiving yards to his 127 rushing yards for a 163-yard total. Atkins combines 49 rushing yards and 53 passing yards for a total of 102 yards.

Defensively, Gray Sharpe leads the team with 25 total tackles (17 solo, 8 assists) and has six tackles for loss. Mac Logan, Matthew Witherspoon and Javien Blanks all have 13 total tackles. Logan has nine solo and four assists. Witherspoon has 11 solo and two assists, with one tackle for loss. Blanks has 10 tackles and three assists with six tackles for loss. Harrison Carroll has 12 tackles on 11 solos and one assist. Laquinton Wright has nine solos and two assists for 11 total tackles. Jim Lawler has eight solos and two assists for 10 total tackles.

Blanks leads the team with four sacks and Witherspoon has three sacks. Sharpe, Dexter Boston, Brody Osburn and Donald Means, Jr. have two sacks each.

The Tigers didn’t record an interception against the Falcons. Jay Jones (who did not play against Central) still leads with two interceptions. Lawler, Carroll and Stephens have one each.
