Taylor Quinney Crowned Young Miss Christmas on the River 2014
Thirty six lovely young ladies competed tonight for the title of Young Miss Christmas on the River 2014 at the Demopolis Civic Center. Under the direction of Carrie Logan, the girls paraded across the stage to show their grace and beauty. With all eyes on the stage, Master of Ceremonies Allen Bishop announced the queen and her court.
Cassidy Claire Crawford was pretty in pink wearing a rhinestoned ball gown as she was announced fourth alternate. Wearing a one shouldered white tiered gown, third alternate was Molly Katherine Harrison. Second alternate Abby Grace Cameron was wearing a sparkling turquoise gown. Mary Creigh Smith received first alternate, wearing a beautiful white with sparkle tulle gown. Buckley Nettles, Young Miss COTR 2013, crowned Taylor Mills Quinney Young Miss Christmas on the River 2014. Back in 2012 Quinney was also crowned Little Miss COTR by Nettles. Taylor said she was very surprised that she had won and her favorite part of the night was walking across the stage and smiling at everyone. Taylor is the eight year old daughter of Harold and Natalie Quinney. She attends U. S. Jones where she is in the third grade. When asked what she look forward to the most Quinney said, “I really can’t wait to ride in the parade and wave at everyone.”
The top fifteen of the night not listed above were Anna Katherine Sellers, Haylee Rae Rowley, Anna Katelyn Glass, Megan Lindsey Roe, Madelyn Baty Singleton, Emma Kate Parr, Anna Caroline Davidson, Sarah Kate Potter, Sara Elaine Jordan and Kennedy Elizabeth Townsend.
