Shops to hold Holiday Open House Nov. 4

Small business owners welcome bargain-hunters Thursday, Nov. 4, as they sponsor “Shop Demopolis.”

Eleven firms will be open special hours and many will offer discounts for early Christmas shoppers. Participating businesses include:

• Bigbee Humane Thrift Store, 9 a.m.–noon.
• Blackbelt Gardens & Gifts, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., with 10 percent off all purchases, except for food.
• Lee’s Kloset and Gifts, 10 a.m.–7 p.m.
• Lindsey’s Florist and Gifts, 9 a.m.–7 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday, with 15 percent off purchases.
• The Mustard Seed, 10 a.m.–7 p.m., with wine-tasting from 5-7 p.m.
• Social Butterfly Marketplace, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
• Canebrake Boutique, 10 a.m.-7 p.m., with 15 percent off all purchases.
• Tootsie’s Tanning & Gifts, 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday, with 15 percent off all purchases.
• Workaholics, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Nancy and Company, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
• The Leader, $5 off any gift subscriptions. Register at the office for a drawing for free subscriptions.
