Satterwhite invited to Manning Passing Academy as counselor

University of West Alabama quarterback Harry Satterwhite will join Jarrett Stidham of Auburn and Alabama’s Jalen Hurts as counselors as this year’s Manning Passing Academy in Thibodaux, Louisiana.

Satterwhite will be on the campus of Nichols State University June 21-24 to be a part of the 23rd Annual Manning Passing Academy. Top college quarterbacks and professional players, as well as top coaches from high school to pro levels, are invited to join Peyton, Eli, Archie and Cooper Manning as they host over 1,200 campers.

Along with fundamentals of football, the camp caters to quarterbacks, running backs, tight ends and wide receivers. Additional top quarterbacks expected to be in camp as counselors are Georgia’s Jake Fromm, Washington’s Jake Browning, Drew Lock of Missouri, Jake Bentley of South Carolina and Arizona’s Khalil Tate.

A finalist of the 2017 Harlon Hill Trophy, which honors the top player in NCAA Division II, Satterwhite was also named the Alabama Sports Writers Small College Athlete of the Year, as well as being named to numerous all-conference, all-region and all-America teams.

Satterwhite passed for 3,421 yards and 26 touchdowns as a junior in 2017. He completed 322-of-495 passes (65 percent) with just eight interceptions. He set UWA single season records for passing attempts, completions, passing yards and completion percentage.

Satterwhite is the second UWA quarterback to be invited to the Manning Passing Academy. Kyle Caldwell served as a counselor prior to his senior season in 2014.
