RHP Kirby Osborn transferring to UWA

LIVINGSTON – Right-handed pitcher Kirby Osborn is transferring to the University of West Alabama from High Point University to continue his collegiate baseball career.

A Millis Scholar-Athlete, Osborn appeared in four games, starting two, as a redshirt freshman for High Point. He was 0-0 with a 10.13 earned run average.

At 6-foot-5 and 215-pounds, Osborn had a very successful prep career at Land O’ Lakes (Fla.) High School. A four-year letter winner for the Gators, Osborn posted a 21-8 career record with a 1.60 ERA in 33 appearances.

All 33 of Osborn’s appearances were starts and he hurled 14 complete games, seven shutouts and two no-hitters. Opponents batted just .202 against Osborn over four seasons.
