Photo Voter ID card offered at Rooster Hall Sept. 10

Local voters who don’t have a valid Alabama photo voter ID card can get one Thursday, Sept. 10, at Rooster Hall.

Local residents can also get voter registration forms and update their voter information.

Sponsored by the Office of the Secretary of State, the voter ID event will be open from 10 a.m. to noon.

To qualify for the free photo voter ID, the applicant must be a registered voter in the state at his/her current address and not already hold a valid photo ID.

All registrants must provide identification such as:

  • Non-valid photo ID (expired license, student or employee ID).
  • Birth certificate
  • Marriage record
  • Medicare of Medicaid document
  • Military record
  • Official school record or transcript
  • Social Security Administration document
  • State or Federa census recored
  • Hospital or nursing home record
  • Certificate of citizenship
