Penny Thoughts: The Looming Storm

In a little more than two weeks, we go to the ballot box to determine the future of America. In no other election in my lifetime have the consequences of our national future been so prominent. This election presents a clear choice between the Constitutional and economic structure of our nation on one hand, and a socialist agenda which has hijacked the Democrat Party’s Platform on the other hand. If you do not believe me, take the time yourself to read that Platform. I did. It is tedious and unless you know how to read their deceptive language you may miss some of its finer points.

The contrast could not be more stark or more vivid. Their victory will usher in the demise of the family unit, the loss of a concept of individuality, the facts and practices of our liberty, the opportunities presented to us through a free market system of commerce and the free practice of religion. These points are merely the tip of the iceberg that will suddenly be foisted upon America should Democrats win. I am not exaggerating! Download the Democratic 2020 Party Platform from the internet! It is where I retrieved it.

One of the many things I learned as a football coach is the knowledge that victory is intrinsically tied to studying an opponent. I spent many hours looking at my opponent films. I used to say I watched film “until my eyeballs bled!” I believe it is crucial that we use the same metric in examining what our opposing political parties present to us. When you can anticipate what they will do, you will be better equipped to make an informed decision.

That is not the “storm” referred to here. The storm’s effects are merely the rain squalls, the winds, the rising water, even the possible tornadoes that precede an impending storm. No, the storm has to do with what is anticipated if the Democrats lose the White House and continue to be the minority party in the Senate but retain the House of Representatives. The following is a list of some anticipated actions which quite possibly will ensue if that happens – after the storm makes landfall in effect.

  • The obscene army of Democrat lawyers will hold up the results of the Nov. 3 voting to the point where Nancy Pelosi might very well end up as President.
  • A renewed drumbeat of manufactured causes for “impeachment” against President Trump will crystallize.
  • The not-so-subtle “resistance” campaign will re-emerge as the attempted coup against President Trump continues.
  • The riots implemented by BLM and ANTIFA will continue along with various other leftist “causes” tearing our cities further apart.
  • Although in the minority, Democrats in the Senate will continue to befuddle the timid and gutless Republicans with procedural maneuvers that leave our nation stymied for dealing with the China Virus and any possible recovery plans.

An apt analogy here is a hurricane. While the storm center makes land fall, its real negative effects are the attendant rising waters, the accompanying winds and the massive rain which results in flooding and loss of homes, and sometimes loss of lives.  The election itself is the “hurricane” as it makes landfall. The “effects” are what will follow whichever candidates win.

On the one hand, if Trump and his party win, 1) America will be able to continue its economic prosperity; 2) its independence from China’s world hegemony be solidified; 3) its continued focus on dealing with the China Virus will realize some solutions, and 4) its continued sincere efforts to heal a nation which  has become the captive of the propaganda of the BLM and the attacks of ANTIFA will reach fruition.

On the other hand, if Biden and his party win, we can expect 1) higher taxes; 2) diminishing energy independence; 3) limited  personal liberty; 4) increased governmental interference with applications of the Constitution; 5) attempts to increase its power by adding D.C., Puerto Rico, nd even Guam, as states, and 6) adding seats to the Supreme Court which will render it another legislative branch, as opposed to its independent status as the interpretative branch of the Constitution.

Just as people prepare for hurricanes, this storm provides a vivid rationale for considering all options while preparing for its arrival – AND its aftermath.

There can be no minimizing the impact of this election. It is a Category Five Hurricane with all its impact and fury – and will leave the landscape of America changed for centuries to come.
