No arrest made in conspiracy to murder infant

Demopolis Police have made no arrests as of Friday in the attempted murder of an infant.

A newborn child was found in a trash bag at Whitfield Regional Hospital Friday, Sept. 18. Police Chief Rex Flowers said the department has a suspect, but no charges have been filed yet. The investigation is ongoing.

Flowers said he is working with the Marengo County Department of Human Resources. DHR had no comment.
