Linden tops Essex in DHS tourney

One night after Linden (6-1) suffered its first loss of the season, the Patriots rebounded with a 68-60 victory over John Essex in the third place game of the Demopolis High Christmas Tournament.

The Patriots won the first two quarters to take a 29-21 lead into the locker room before playing to dead even point totals in the third and fourth periods.

Imoras Agee had 30 points to lead all scorers. Nicholas Rogers finished with 11 or the Patriots while Kynard Craig had 10.

Michael Moore had 26 for the Hornets while Josh Moore finished with 19 and Anthony McIntosh had nine.

The Patriots are scheduled to play again Thursday in the first round of their own holiday tournament.
