Linden standout Scott to receive Marengo Sports HOF scholarship

The Marengo County Sports Hall of Fame has announced the selection of Linden High School student and athlete, Isaiah Scott, as the recipient of the 2018 annual scholarship to be awarded at the induction ceremony and banquet to be held at the Demopolis Civic Center on Monday evening, Feb. 12.

Scott, who is a star in basketball, football and track at Linden High School, maintains a grade point average of 3.2 while participating in all these sports and was the captain of the 2017 Patriot football team.

Scott played in the AHSAA 2017 North-South All-Star Basketball Game, was the West Alabama Watchman Player of the Week, received the Linden football highest GPA Award for three years, and was selected as outstanding player on a number of occasions. Scott is very active in other school activities as well as being a community volunteer.
