Linden Police Department announces summer camp for girls

Linden Police Department is proud to announce “SOME-R-D.A.R.E. Summer Camp 2014” for girls. This camp will be designed for girls within Linden and Marengo County ages 12 to 17. Registration will start June 2 and run through June 30 at 4 p.m.

The registration fee per child is $20. The SOME-R-D.A.R.E. Summer Camp dates are weekdays, July 7-July 18 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. each day at the Linden Fire Department.

The SOME-R-D.A.R.E. Summer Camp is designed to help mentor young girl. During the camp, girls will be educated on the life lessons of staying away from drugs, how to handle peer pressure, applying for college, learning how to create resumes for their selected jobs, how to handle themselves when being bullied and much more. Those interested in signing up their daughter(s) are encouraged to stop by Linden City Hall to pick up an application package.
