LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Dixie Youth board grateful for effort from SportsPlex staff

Dear editor, The Watchman,

The Demopolis Dixie Youth Softball League (DDYSL) would like to thank the employees at the SportsPlex for their hard work during the recent District 8 softball all star tournament.

In all, the tournament brought 19 teams to Demopolis, and 31 games were played over six days.

The crew went above and beyond in ensuring the fields were in top playing condition, even following several days of inclement weather.

Again, we’d like to offer a sincere thank you to Walker Reynolds, Mark Lambert, all of the grounds crew, concession workers, volunteers and support staff.

The tournament was a huge success and would not have been possible without all their help and hard work.
