Lady Longhorns thump Hooper

Marengo Academy moved to 3-1 on the season Tuesday with an 11-1 win over Hooper Academy.

Andrea Edmonds struck out 10 batters over five innings while scattering three hits and two walks.

Chandler Stenz went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles, a stolen base and a run scored in the game. Anna Michael Crocker doubled and drove in a run. Brooke Smyly went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored.

Edmonds went 2-for-4 with a double and a RBI.

Conner Etheridge finished 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a RBI. Kimberly Moore finished 1-for-3 with a walk and one RBI.

Payton Stokes scored a run and notched two RBIs. Caitlin Andrews went 2-for-3 with a run and two RBIs.

Macey Petrey finished 1-for-2 with a double. Mary Jordan Drake scored a run and Hannah Freeman scored two runs.
