Jerry Harrington

Jerry Hill Harrington, 82, of Thomasville, AL died Sunday, June 22, 2014 at his home. He was born in Sweet Water, AL on August 6, 1931. He was a retired road driver for Roadway Express out of Meridian, MS. He was recognized for over 1 million miles of safe driving. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Natalie Cogle Harrington of Thomasville, AL; three daughters, Carol H. (Fritz) Bates of Monroeville, AL: Pamela H. (Larry) Hall of Hattiesburg, MS; Lisa H. (Mike) Bryant of Lynchburg, VA; 10 grandchildren, Chuck (Wendy) Bates of Houma, LA; Rick Bates of Monroeville, AL; Jennifer B. Bradford of Jackson, AL; Natalie H. (Roger) Wynne, Jerry W. (Melanie) Hall and Larri Michelle Hall all of Hattiesburg, MS; Kyle H. (Lauren) Bryant, Mitchell (Alydia) Bryant, and Michael W. Bryant all of Lynchburg, VA; Matthew (Lindsay) Bryant of Chambersburg, PA; ten great grandchildren, one brother, Rev. Bob Harrington of Stigler, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Robert C. and Ludie Harrington. Visitation will be held at Central Baptist Church, where he so often expressed his love for the Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 26, 2014 from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am service time with Rev. Aaron Carpenter officiating. Burial will be at Dunning Cemetery in Dixons Mills, AL. Pallbearers will be: Chuck Bates, Rick Bates, Jerry Hall, Kyle Bryant, Matthew Bryant, Michael Bryant, Mitchell Bryant. Memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
