Ground game gets Scott-Central past Sweet Water

Scott-Central (Miss.) used a 276-yard ground attack to get past visiting Sweet Water Friday night, finishing with a comfortable 32-6 win.

Sweet Water’s lone touchdown of the night came with 2:12 remaining in the first quarter, when Braiden Broussard called his own number, taking it in from a yard out. Jacory Brown’s PAT failed.

Scott-Central saw touchdowns come on a single 16-yard pass, followed by rushes of 50, 1, 25, and 12 yards, respectively.

Each team had three fumbles, losing two. The ‘Dawgs also threw an interception.

Sweet Water ended the night with 146 yards of total offense to Scott-Central’s 336 yards.

The ‘Dawgs return home to play host to Choctaw County Sept. 28.
