Grady Horace Bates, age 95 of Sweet Water, AL died June 13, 2016 at his home. He was born July 8, 1920 in Marengo County, AL. He was a veteran of the US Navy, a mason, and a shriner.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Freeman Bates.

Graveside services will be held at Old Liberty Cemetery on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 10:00 am with Rev. Don Stephens officiating.
