Epilepsy focus of Rotary meeting

Karl Hagood and Lindsey Trulove from the Sumter County Epilepsy Foundation spoke on the challenges, treatments and symptoms of epilepsy at the Demopolis Rotary Club meeting Wednesday.

Just over a year old, the foundation serves to educate the community on types of seizures, as well as proper first aid care for the 65 million people in the world who suffer from epilepsy.

Some first aid tips for someone having a seizure: do not grab or hold on to the patient or put something in his or her mouth.
