DHS softball takes win over Sweetwater

With an 8-2 victory, the Demopolis High School softball squad won its game with Sweetwater High School Tuesday.

Freshman pitcher Ashton Moore rolled up 20 strikeouts during the game and added a double at the plate to help her team, according to Asst. Coach Calen Lowery.

Statistics for the game are:

#7 Freshman Madison Ford: two for three at the plate with a double and a single.
#1 Seventh Grader Allie Hughes, one hit for a single.
#8 Junior Abby Cameron, three for four at the plate with 3 singles.
#10 Junior Lizzie Cannon, one hit at the plate for a single.
#3 Senior Alysse Dunklin, one hit at plate for a double.
