Demopolis High School JROTC Cadets Jalan Wilson, Dalajah Bryant, Christian Corbitt, Keith McNealey, Cameron Crawford, Brittany Mosely, and Moriah Fielder attended Junior Cadet Leadership Course at Ft. McClellan June 2-7.

The Cadets were challenged to get up at 5 a.m. and train until 5 p.m. and then participate in athletics until 7 p.m. daily.

The cadets all volunteered to go to the camp and train to be leaders. The course conducted at Ft. McClellan and Pelham Range proved to be a challenge that was both mental and physical. The 40-foot repelling tower, double rope bridges, tying knots, LRC (Leadership Reaction Course), marching in formation, and Physical Training at 0500 every morning was something the cadets were not used to, however all completed the course and received credit for a job well done.

SFC Mike Black and Maj. Drummond participated in the camp as trainers and cadre for the cycle. Our cadets did an outstanding job and were commended for completing the course with certificates of training.
