Demopolis Cal Ripken to hold Fall Ball league

The Demopolis Youth Baseball League has opened registration for its Cal Ripken Fall Ball league. Registration will run through Aug. 2. Registration forms can be picked up at Hibbett Sports in Demopolis. Online registration is also available.

The season is set to begin Aug. 26 and will run through Sept. 30. The league will primarily instructional in nature and consist of games on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Since Cal Ripken is a volunteer organization with no paid salaries, fees will be $40 per player and will be used for insurance, caps and a shirt.
