Demopolis alum gets All-American honors

DaMarcus James POTW Demopolis alum and Jacksonville State running back DaMarcus James has earned Beyond Sports Network FCS All-American honors.

James has had a record-breaking season, where he has rushed for 1,431 yards on 277 carries to set the school’s single-season rushing record.

The junior running back also has an Ohio Valley Conference record 28 rushing touchdowns and is currently ranked second in the nation and has scored a rushing touchdown in 11 consecutive games. James is a third team All-America selection.

The Gamecocks are set to travel to Eastern Washington for the quarterfinals of the FCS playoffs Saturday.
