Demopoils 4×100 relay team wins state title

The Demopolis High School girls track team made an impact in the state meet over the weekend. Darnesha Harris took the bronze medal in the 100-Meter Hurdles, turning in a time of 16.68 seconds. Harris also took bronze in the 300-Meter Hurdles with a time of 46.79 seconds.

The Demopolis 4×100 Meter Relay Team took gold with a time of 50.03. The team consists of Nykeria Grayer, Ashleigh Ivory, Kel Rainey and Shay Smith.

Samantha Williams took bronze in the Shot Put with a distance of 33-09.

Other competitors from Demopolis included Gracie Boykin, Caitlin Thrash, Keyana Waller, Audrey Boykin and Mary-Michael Bradley.

Running on the boys side for Demopolis were Daitron Fultz, Seth Latham, Johnny Carter and Trey Haskins.

The team takes it coaching from Drew Luker and Rodney Rowser.
