DACC names honorees for 105th Celebration
The Demopolis Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the 2020 Community Award winners to be recognized during its 105th Annual Celebration on May 11 at the Demopolis Civic Center.
Those chosen for their commitment to service and support of Demopolis are:
- Business of the Year – Whitfield Regional Hospital.
- Citizen of the Year – Rob Fleming.
- Chamber Volunteer of the Year – Sandra Booen.
- Community Spirit – AmStar /Air Evac.
- Lifetime Achievement – Dr. Luther Hallmark.
- Youth Volunteer Award of the Year – Jim Lindsey.
Tickets for the celebration can be purchased at the DACC office, 102 E. Washington St., at $45 per person.
The event will kick off at 6 p.m. with a silent auction, wine and beer reception and local musical talent. The dinner to follow will be catered by Simply Delicious.
The night will also feature the traditional passing of the gavel, presentation of Board Members whose three-year term limits have expired, presentation of the newest Chamber Board chairman and introduction of four new Board members.
