Congresswoman Sewell to host workshop at ASCC

THOMASVILLE – Congresswoman Terri A. Sewell (D-AL) will host a Project R.E.A.D.Y workforce development seminar on Friday June 13 at Alabama Southern Community College (Thomasville Campus). The event is a continuation of Sewell’s workforce development initiative that was launched in 2013. The seminar will feature workshops on career development and workforce options.

The workshops will serve as a tool to facilitate employment opportunities and prepare attendees for career readiness and job training. In an effort to expand the highly successful initiative, Sewell has also incorporated area high school students to ensure they are also prepared to enter the workforce.

“Since the launch of Project R.E.A.D.Y., our district has benefited greatly from access to career development resources that better prepare our constituents for the local workforce,” Sewell said. “Our office will continue to host Project R.E.A.D.Y seminars as a key component of our results oriented approach to creating job opportunities in the 7th Congressional District.”
