Conference offers help in recruiting, retaining workforce

West Alabama Works will host the third-annual Talent Conference Wednesday, Nov. 17, at 7:30 a.m., at the Tuscaloosa Career and Technology Academy Event Hall.

Five panelists will present proven practices within their organizations to recruit and retain employees during a workforce crisis.

The panelists are Rolf Wrona, vice president of human resources at MBUSI; owner of Chik-fil-a Northport Ashley Gill; Schnellecke Logistics HR Manager Brandy Snipes; vice president of HR for Phifer Incorporated Russell Dubose, and Keith Philips, Vice Chancellor of Workforce and Economic Development.

“This event will offer ideas on what organizations can do to ensure they are attracting, retaining, and motivating the employees they need to not only survive but to thrive during recovery,” said Donny Jones, Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama Chief Operating Officer and West Alabama Works Executive Director.

This conference is designed for managers, supervisors, workforce development leaders and human resource professionals who need tips on retaining their workforce or help their leadership skills.
