Charles Tucker

Charles Austin Tucker age 83 of Sweet Water, AL died January 18, 2014 at Rush Foundation Hospital. He was born June 20, 1930 in Campground, AL. Mr. Tucker was a supervisor with Borden Chemical Company. He was a member of the Campground United Methodist Church where he served as treasurer for two years and was the founder of the church Trustee Board. He was also a US Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Tucker of Sweet Water, AL; daughter, Wanda (Henry) Morgan of Sweet Water, AL; son, Buddy (Rachel) Tucker of Thomasville, AL; daughter, Myrtle Tucker of Big Point, MS; brother, James (Peggy) Tucker of Linden, AL; two sisters, Myrtle Brooks Fields of Sweet Water, AL; Nell (Don) Barkley of Linden, AL; sister in law, Grace Tucker of Demopolis, AL; nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, a host of step grandchildren & great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Jefferson Tucker and Willie Mae Ward Tucker, five brothers & three sisters. Visitation will be held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Campground United Methodist Church on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 11:00 am with Rev. Leroy Shaw, Jr. and Pastor Josh Gill officiating. Burial will be at Campground United Methodist Church Cemetery in Sweet Water, AL. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in memory of Charles Tucker to Campground United Methodist Church. Arrangements by O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Linden, AL.
