Charles L. Shields age 71 of Linden, AL died March 29, 2013 at his home. He was born December 31, 1941 in Thomasville, AL. He was a retired environmentalist for the Alabama Department of Public Health. He is survived by his wife, Patricia W. Shields of Linden, AL; daughter, Paige Shields Stafford, son-in-law, John Stafford, and 2 grandchildren, Nathan Thomas Noe and Harper Hyde Noe of Houston, TX. Visitation will be held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Linden, AL on Sunday, March 31, 2013 from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm. Graveside funeral services will follow at 1:30 pm at the Magnolia Cemetery in Magnolia, AL. Arrangements by O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Linden, AL.
