Brooker gives update on MCHS events

Kirk Brooker with the Marengo County Historical Society spoke about the success of Andrew Moore’s recent book-signing for Blue Alabama at the weekly meeting of the Demopolis Rotary Club.  Books are still available and can be purchased at Canebrake Craft Corner.

Brooker also updated the club on upcoming MCHS events.  Oct. 25 and 26 will be the popular Haints & Haunts. In honor of Alabama’s 200th year, Haints & Haunts will take riders on a haunting journey through Kathryn Tucker Windham’s famous 13 Ghosts of Alabama.  Tickets are $15 and available at Canebrake Craft Corner and Bluff Hall.

Other upcoming events will be Christmas in the Canebrake and Christmas on the River and then Rooster Day on Easter weekend this coming Spring.  Brewster the Rooster for 2020 will wear bunny ears!
