All DCSS students to receive free breakfast, lunch

Effective immediately through Dec. 18, all students are eligible for free breakfast and lunch. This service recently was announced by the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, Sonny Perdue.

“The Demopolis City School System is pleased to participate in this Congressionally-appropriated program to ensure our students are fed and ready to learn,” said Supt. Kyle Kallhoff. The free meal program applies to both on-campus students as well as virtual students.

“I hope our parents take advantage of this program to help ensure our students, either on campus or on-line, are eating healthy meals,” said Kallhoff.

“In Demopolis, we are blessed to have hard-working, dedicated Child Nutrition workers at all four schools.  Under the leadership of our CNP Director, Aretha Littles, they are always looking for ways to best serve our students and support our teachers.”
